Rock/hiphop/dance/soul fusion master Beck has finally finished recording his follow up
to 2000's Midnite Vultures. The album, which has yet to be titled, was produced by
Travis and Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich and is due to hit shelves
in late September. According to nme.com, the album is "less acoustic than people might have
expected...but it's still pretty downbeat." That's plenty descriptive.
Icelandic spacerock/nu-skool shoegazers Sigur Ros are in the midst of recording their
new album, the answer to 2000's stellar Agaetis Bryjun. The record, due in the fall, is
believed to be more raw than their previous work, as the band want to "keep [it] fresh," according
to rollingstone.com. No further information is available at this time, but with the global buzz on
this band, more data is sure to make its way to the public consciousness momentarily.
