Osbournes Take Merchandising To KISS Proportions

The twisted First Family of Metal turned international pop culture icons, the Osbournes, have inked a merchandising deal that is estimated to generate sales of $200 million this year. The exclusive agreement has been reached with leading merchandising firm Signatures Network, which is already responsible for Ozzfest licensing and merchandising. So what can we expect to see? To start, there will be T-shirts, caps, posters, and coffee mugs, but according to Signatures founder and CEO Dell Furano, within 60 days weíll be able to spend our hard-earned cash on key chains, wall hangings, and board games, too. Also on tap for "back-to-school" are backpacks, skateboards, notebook covers, bowling shirts, lunch pails, die-cast cars, talking bobble heads, condoms, and rolling papers (ok, I made up those last two). According to Billboard, retailers supporting the Osbourne onslaught already include Gadzooks, Hot Topic, Sam Goody, Target, and Kmart. Will the Osbournesí commercial blitz create a "sell out" sentiment amongst the familyís legions of fans? Stay tunedÖ
