Camper Van Beethoven Bring Tents and Violins Out of Storage

Santa Cruz, CA alterna-faves Camper Van Beethoven are reforming to play a set of
dates in New York City. The '80s indie pop mavens, who were staples on alternative radio in
the late '80s with hits like "Pictures of Matchstick Men" and the immortal "Take The
Skinheads Bowling," are set to play a trio of dates next month at the Knitting Factory. No
news as to why the band has decided to reform, ka-ching, but Pitchforkmedia reports that the
lineup is due to include longtime Campers David Lowery, Jonathan
Segel, Greg Lisher and Victor Krummenacher, with the band rounded
out with some of Lowery's buddies from his post-Camper act,
Cracker. No other dates have been announced, but rumblings about a West Coast
set of dates are being picked up on the seismograph.
