Groening Makes All Tomorrow's Parties His Personal Party

All Tomorrow's Parties, the indie music festival held yearly in the UK and US, will have
Simpsons mastermind Matt Groening as the curator for their 2003 US
incarnation. The event will again be held at UCLA and while no acts have yet been
announced, the cartoonist is the first non-musician to be chosen as the curator. Another
change to be made next year is that tickets will only be sold to individual events, versus
all-festival passes, a response to the angry reaction hundreds of fans had this year after
waiting in huge lines while their favorite acts performed. To jog your memory, this year's
event was curated by Sonic Youth and featured performances from Eddie
Vedder, Television, Aphex Twin, Wilco,
Sleater-Kinney and Stereolab, amongst many others.
