Daddy G Won't Sing on New Massive Attack Album

In furthering our Massive Attack album update service, we bring you news that band founder Daddy G will not lend his vocals to the band's upcoming fourth album, according to a post on the band's website. It was G, a.k.a. Grant Marshall's dark vocal stylings that had been a cornerstone of Massive Attack's sound throughout their career, but fatherhood has taken precedence at this juncture. A poster claiming to be fellow band mate 3-D (all posts by this person have turned out to be true up until now) wrote that G wouldn't sing on this album, but would "be back on the case next album." As previously reported, vocalist who will appear on the 75% completed new LP are Sinead O'Connor (on three tracks), two tracks with Horace Andy, as well as a number from 3-D. We'll continue to keep you posted on the details of the seminal trip-hoppers doings as they become available.
