David Cross Teams With Sub Pop for Comedy Album

Indie rock aficionado, scathingly funny comedian, and Mr. Show with Bob and David co-creator David Cross will release a double album entitled Shut Up You Fucking Baby on November 5 via Sub Pop Records. According to MTV.com, material for the album was recorded during Cross' recent spring tour, which saw cool indie acts Ultrababyfat and Arlo in support slots. Another solo tour is in the works to support the album's release, following a month-long run of Mr. Show Live!: Bob and David in "Hooray for America!!!" The Mr. Show tour kicks off on September 14 in San Diego, CA, and runs through October 12 in Vancouver, BC. Also on the way from Cross is a film entitled Run Ronnie Run, which tracks the exploits of Ronnie Dobbs, a character taken from a Mr. Show skit who is infamous for being the most-seen perp on COPS. Mr. Show co-star Bob Odenkirk also appears in the film, as does Maynard James of Tool, Scott Ian of Anthrax and former Hole/Motley Crue drummer Samantha Maloney, who collectively form the fictitious band Titannica. New Line Cinema will release the film, though a date has yet to be set.
