Norwegian new acoustic movement types Kings of Convenience are finally coming to America. The band, which was set to voyage over last fall before the events of September 11 are playing a small set of dates starting August 7 in New York City and wrapping the mini-tour in Seattle on August 17. The duo released their wonderfully-named debut Quiet is the New Loud early in 2001 and followed it up in the fall with a remix album entitled Versus which matched their songs with reconfigurations by Royksopp, Four Tet, Ladytron and Alfie, to name a few. Half of the duo, Erlend Oye even has a solo record due to drop in October that features even further collaborative efforts with the likes of Soviet and Morgan Geist.
