Matador Re-Releases to Hit Pavement in Late October

Early '90s indie stalwarts Pavement are set to return to the shelves in a pretty 2 DVD package entitled Slow Century. The collection will consist of all the videos done by the quintet from scenic Stockton, CA, as well as an hour-and-a-half-long documentary and live footage, shot in super high-tech multi-angle format. Matador Records will drop this wondrous offering on October 22, the same day that it will re-release the band's vital debut, Slanted and Enchanted. This, too, will possess bonus material, with the band's Watery Domestic EP included on the album, as well as unreleased studio bits and bobs and the b-sides from the various singles. CD and vinyl formats are planned for the re-release and band members Spiral Stairs and Stephen Malkmus are amongst those providing liner notes. Too bad it doesn't come with bonus blue alcohol/cleaning solution from the comb jar in the video for "Cut Your Hair." That would hit the spot right about now.
