Jawbreaker Tribute Cracks And Melts Away

Jawbreaker, the power-punk kingpins of San Francisco during the nineties (who disbanded in the latter part of the same decade), recently released a collection of rarities, B-sides, covers, and outtakes titled Etc. A tribute compilation has been in the works for quite some time, but that train has pulled into the station and all of its passengers (Thursday, the Weakerthans, Midtown, Piebald, Further Seems Forever, and more) have gotten off and gone home. Jet Black Records have stopped all efforts to create what was tentatively known as What's The Score? Jet Black has posted a few covers from Tripwire favorite Tom Daily, Gods Reflex, and a few others on their website. Blake's current band of brothers, Jets To Brazil, will release their third album (a double CD/LP) called Perfecting Loneliness, on October 15 via Jade Tree.
