In keeping with the up-to-the-minute Massive Attack news service we seem to have become, The Tripwire brings news that the trip-hop duo from Bristol are rallying around a cause and trying to get others involved. The cause: trying to get the US and Britain to avoid attacking Iraq. On the band's website, 3-D aka Robert Del Naja posted the following:
"Massive Attack has added its name to the list of supporters of the Don't Attack Iraq Campaign. This campaign is gonna give us, as groups or individuals, a voice." He went on further to encourage other artists to get involved in keeping Britain from entering the fray, including acts like taking out anti-war ads in the NME. "There will be a demonstration in London on September 28. Still working to create the NME ads with Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament drumming up money and support from other bands/ artists." More is to be heard about this, for sure, and when it happens, you'll hear about it from us, as always.
