Ash Land Opening Slot on Coldplay Tour, Crash Tour Bus

Irish rockers, Ash, are now confirmed to support Coldplay on the remainder of the latter's North American tour. Ash have been tearing it up at Area2 for most of the summer and are now taking this huge opportunity to introduce thousands of new ears to their recently released Kinetic album, Free All Angels. Ash will join Coldplay on September 4 in Seattle, WA, and will be onboard through September 24 in Chicago. However, it hasn't been all good news for the Irish foursome as of late. Ash's tour bus was involved in an auto accident last Friday (August 16) while en-route to Seattle, WA. Drummer Rick McMurray sustained broken ribs, while the rest of the crew thankfully suffered only more minor injuries. The day after the accident, Ash were Detroit for a free show they had lined up. Rick performed with the band and fought through the pain, further aggrivating the injury. That's dedication folks! The Leeds & Reading Festival dates this weekend are now in jeopardy, but hopefully this stack of Coldplay dates will go off without a hitch. Check out Coldplay/Ash tour dates.
