Interpol To Personally Turn On The Bright Lights in US

Interpol will spend the month of September touring the US in support of their debut full length, Turn On The Bright Lights, which dropped on Matador August 20. The Joy Division/David Bowie influenced quartet, will play the Carling, Pukkelpop, and Black Session festivals in Europe before storming their home base of NYC on September 3. Interpol aren't on the garage or electroclash bandwagon. They dress like the Misfits dining at Tavern on the Green and their haunting sounds are filled with dark corners and enrapturing turns, which makes for a refreshing taste for all to hear in 2002. The first single, "PDA," is on the verge of taking over commercial specialty shows everywhere this weekend.
