Drowing Pool frontman, Dave Williams, who died August 14, will be remembered with a memorial DVD chronicling the artist's life. According to MTV, the idea was conceived Saturday, August 17, a day before the late singer's public funeral. Although in the very early stages of development, the DVD is expected to take fans from Williams' early days in the local Dallas rock scene through the band's meteoric rise to stardom. The first $250,000 earned from the sale of the DVD will go to purchase a retirement house for Williams' parents. His publicist said that this was a longtime dream of rising star and, in his memory, Wind-Up is working to make that happen. In order to do so, Wind-Up is asking fans to contribute any photographs, home movies, or any other sort of memorabilia for use in the DVD. Those who wish to contribute, shoot an email to email@example.com. The label hopes to release the DVD by November, so get your asses in gear.
