London-based neo-mod up-and-comers Ikara Colt have just inked a deal with Epitaph Records which will give the punk label world wide rights to the band (excluding the UK and Japan). The first US offering from the critically acclaimed four-piece will be their debut album, Chat and Business, which was originally released on Fantastic Plastic Records last March. The album will be available in Europe on October 14th, but US record-buyers will have to wait slightly longer.
The US release of Chat and Business is currently scheduled to hit shelves in November, a month after the band's live US debut at Epitaph's CMJ showcase in NYC. The band will also play a series of select dates in key US cities in support of the album. According to a spokesperson for the label, the Epitaph version of the album will feature four additional new tracks which were not included on the Fantastic Plastic version.
