Peter Gabriel Grows Up--Live in Front of Us All

One of the pre-eminent forces on the early alternative music scene, Peter Gabriel is preparing to head out on his first tour in almost 10 years. The 20-date tour, entitled "Growing Up--Live" will the be the first time the ex-Genesis frontman has been on the road since 1993's "Secret World Live" affair. From all accounts, this tour is going to be a big do, with extravagant stage set up, etc. Gabriel is touring on Up, his first studio album since 1992's Us, and whose first single, "The Barry Williams Show" featured on Cornerstone Player .036. The album, which came out this week features guest appearances from the late Pakistani musician Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Fleetwood Mac founding member Peter Green and The Blind Boys Of Alabama. Gabriel will also donate $1 from every ticket sold to his WITNESS project, a human rights group that allows other human rights groups across the world access to communication technology they wouldn't have access to otherwise.
