Trip-hoppers Rejoice: Portishead, Beth Gibbons Solo Albums On Way

As was mentioned on this very site just a few weeks ago, both Portishead and the band's singer, Beth Gibbons, are primed to unleash new full lengths on their awaiting fanbase. The solo album from the breathy, overly-cigaretted chanteuse will come first, hitting shelves on October 28, according to pitchforkmedia.com. The album, Out Of Season, is described as being "semi-acoustic" and to reiterate news we've brought you before, former Talk Talk bass player Paul Webb plays a large role. UK and US tours are expected to follow, but no current information is available. As far as the parent group goes, the 'Head will drop their first studio album in almost five years (and album, period, in four years), Alien on Mercury early next year. Not much is known about the 12-track work, save for its song titles (which follows below), but when we hear more about it, so will you.
