Haven's Guitarist Gets Beatdown In Atlanta But Show Must Go On

Atlanta scenesters are organizing a boycott of local venue MJQ after
UK buzz band Haven's guitarist, Nat Wason, was beaten
bloody by security at the club. Evidently, a jet-lagged and drunk
Wason relieved himself in the trashcan of a crowded restroom, and
as a result, was dragged up an exit ramp, led outside, and had his head
beaten against a brick wall by security and with the participation of
club management, according to a petition being circulated amongst
Atlantans in the know. Club goers then intervened, saving Wason
from who-knows-what sort of permanent damage.

All was not lost on the
trip to Atlanta, however, as a trip to another britpop club, POST-MODern, was a smashing success and their live show at Echo Lounge went off without a hitch, the band even giving a shout out and dedicating "Still Tonight," from their Virgin/Radiate debut Between The Senses, to the people in Atlanta who had been so kind to them. Haven's tour continues tonight in Baltimore and rolls through October 22 when the band wraps up in San Diego.
