The Shining Ready To Glow On Debut North American Tour

When the Verve split up in 1999, the band all went their separate ways and some of the members have been reappearing, slowly but surely. We all know that frontman Richard Ashcroft has released a solo album and is about to unleash a second and guitarist Nick McCabe has been making himself rather scarce, although he did add guitars to a track on the brilliant Faultline album. Now bassist Simon Jones and touring guitarist Simon Tong are back with their spacey rock collective, The Shining.

The band was originally loosely formed by Stone Roses guitarist John Squire, but that lineup didn't work out, he left and what came after was The Shining. The band is dropping their debut album, True Skies, early next year on Epic Records but are giving fans a chance to hear the songs live first, as they head off on a short US tour. The tour kicks off on November 5 in Atlanta before weaving its way through North America's hotspots and finally coming to a resting place in Los Angeles on November 23.
