Osbourne family decision-maker, Sharon, has announced that the around-the-clock presence of the MTV cameras and the changes in her family's lifestyle is becoming a terrible burden. While filming a segment for 20/20 that will air tomorrow, Sharon told Babs Walters that the family may call it quits after the next 10-episode season of the highly rated reality series. "We agreed to do the show and so the cameras are here all the time, so it's a little bit invasive right now and we have no privacy," she said. "You know, when you're sick you want to be on your own. I can't throw up on my own and Ozzy can't get drunk on his own." Sharon also revealed that her battle with cancer, along with the invasive MTV cameras, has driven Ozzy back to the bottle.
However, Sharon has since released a statement to "clarify" the comments she made on 20/20. The statement, which was released yesterday, reads as follows: "I have every intention of fulfilling our commitment to MTV for a full 20 episodes. I love my MTV." So it appears all may be well in Osbourne-land after all. We'll all just have to wait and see.
The second season of The Osbournes will begin on November 26.
