Steve Martin Brings Gay Detective Show To ABC

Move over Queer as Folk and Will and Grace, because here comes something gayer (or is it more gay?). Mr. And Mr. Nash, a gay version of the detective show Hart to Hart, will hit the ABC airwaves soon thanks to creator Steve Martin. Alan Cumming has signed on to play one of the Nashes, who are a pair of interior decorators who happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time each week, when a murder occurs. Martinís production company will team up with the creative force behind That '70s Show, Carsey-Werner-Mandabach. Variety tells us that Robert Palm (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit) will serve as writer and executive producer on the show, and casting for the other Mr. Nash (not Pluto) is underway. When Martin was interviewed at the Academy Awards announcement earlier this month (where it was revealed that he will host next year's event), the creator of The Jerk and Three Amigos said, "I am proud to be a part of 'Mr. and Mr. Nash,' especially the part where it's a big hit."
