Artie Lange, the loveable sidekick on the Howard Stern show (and much better addition than the redneck, alcoholic Jackie), is developing a sitcom with NBC. Lange will write and executive produce the DreamWorks pilot with longtime Simpsons producer/writer Sam Simon. While this already sounds like a surefire hit, it gets better for the Jersey native. NBC's senior VP of comedy Joann Alfano boasts, "Artie is someone we've been chasing all year long, and we're real excited about doing a show with him. We don't have this man's voice on NBC, and we need to.'' The show will revolve around Langeís own experiences both as an actor on Fox's Mad TV and stand up comedian. Lange has appeared on Norm McDonaldís Norm Show, and on the big screen in Dirty Work, Lost & Found, and The Bachelor. Good job Artie, this one looks like an A-plus winner!
