The electroclash duo of the year, Fischerspooner, are finally ready to release their debut album in the States, but to reward fans who have waited so long (or for the peeps who were too cheap to buy the import) they have added bonus material. The Capitol Records version of #1 will hit US shelves on February 25 of next year and, according to the label, it will be paired with DVD #1, a DVD video segment that Capitol says is the first such pairing to appear in the same packaging.
The DVD portion will include videos for the band's signature single, "Emerge," and also "The 15th" as well as the some of the video backdrops used in the band's $50,000+ live shows. A short film entitled Sweetness will round out the DVD segment, but the audio section will be enhanced from the import version as well, including the Elvis chart-topping remixer Junkie XL taking a stab at "Emerge" as well as a new version of a video for the same track. If you're one of the peeps who is ahead of the curve and already love the electroclash version of the Pet Shop Boys' album, don't forget to vote for it on our year end poll.
