From the "I'm not quite sure I believe this file": Damon Albarn claims that the latest Blur single was delayed because a box load of the singles exploded! During an interview with BBC Radio 1, the Blur leader said that an entire box of "Don't Bomb When You Are The Bomb," the limited-edition white label vinyl-only single released a few weeks ago in England was blown up by a police bomb squad when left on a train in Brighton, thus delaying the release of the single.
"We'd have probably put it out six weeks earlier but we ran into problems with the first pressing and I only found out very recently that they were actually mislaid on Brighton train station in a cardboard box and it had bomb written on it. The police performed a controlled explosion, which is why it never materialised until later." Hmmm. Not so sure about that one, but we'll let you be the judge of what's true and what is fable.
