Grandaddy, D4, Datsuns Amongst Performers At SXSW 2003

If you're one of those people that needs to plan everything well in advance, then you're in luck, as the 2003 South By Southwest music festival has already begun announcing performing acts and speakers. The event, as always held in Austin, TX, will run from March 12-16 and is set to feature live performances from the one-two New Zealand punch of The Datsuns and D4, as well as Grandaddy, Idlewild, and Turin Brakes, who were due to tour the States in support of their brilliant debut, The Optimist, in 2001, but those plans were changed due to the events of 9/11. The keynote speaker has been announced as producer-extraordinaire Daniel Lanois (Bob Dylan, U2). Of course, hundreds more acts are set to be named and when a bigger chunk of performers are tabbed, you'll be among the first to know.
