'70s Meets The '90s: Iggy Pop & Green Day Work Together

Collaborations, collaborations everywhere. Punk icon Iggy Pop has enlisted the help of '90s punks Green Day on his new album. The Berkeley-based trio worked on two songs for the man also known as James Jewel Osterberg's next record, scheduled for spring of 2003. Iggy has also hooked up with ex-Stooges mates Scott and Ron Asheton for the recording sessions, the first time the trio had worked together since their seminal Raw Power album in 1973. No word as to whether or not this is a full-blown Stooges reunion, but the Asheton brothers did team up with J. Mascis and Mike Watt for a recent European tour, including one fully electric Stooges set. Only time will tell...
