Sonic Youth Get Dirty This Spring With Bonus-Filled Reissue

Alternative music legends Sonic Youth will re-release their 1992 DGC album Dirty on March 4. As you may have guessed, in addition to the originally released material, the Youth will also throw in 20 new tracks and a 28-page booklet with essays from Thurston Moore, Lee Ranaldo, and journalist Byron Coley. According to Billboard, the multitude of new material was culled from B-sides, 8-track demos, and "loose tape found from the songwriting sessions." The remainder of the Sonic Youth catalog has yet to receive official expanded release plans, but your pals at The Tripwire will let you know when the wheels are set in motion.
