Alkaline Trio Cancels Dates, Skiba Strains Voice

Chicagoís beloved Alkaline Trio have announced the cancellation of their upcoming tour. While recording their new album in Los Angeles this past December, singer Matt Skiba strained his vocal chords and the band has decided that they want to focus on creating a fucking amazing record, and they need all the time that they can get to rest and be well. The untitled record should be finished this month, and Vagrant expects to release it in May. Bassist/singer Dan Andriano, who just released a split CD with former A3/Smoking Popes drummer Mike Felumlee, will still perform a few solo acoustic dates.

Dan Andriano Solo Dates:

01.17.03 - Boston, MA (Northeastern University)

01.18.03 - St. Louis, MO (Mississippi Nights w/ Get Up Kids)

01.19.03 - Chicago, IL (House of Blues w/ Get Up Kids)
