Sleater-Kinney Confirm Winter Trek

Olympia, Washington-based punk trio Sleater-Kinney have announced details of a 16-date North American tour to get underway on January 31 in Portland, OR. That's right kids, even the birth of singer/guitarist Corin Tucker's son won't slow these girls down ñ they're already itching to rock. Speaking to Rolling Stone, drummer Janet Weiss said, "the live forum is where we get the feedback from the people who we're really interested in communicating with. Our real fans are incredible, and they know when we've created something true." The trio will be out in search of that feedback through February 23 at Chicago's Metro.

Tapped to open for Sleater-Kinney is the Akron, Ohio-based blues/funk/rock duo Black Keys. The band's sophomore album, ThickFreakness, will be released on April 8 via Fat Possum. Check out the full tour itinerary below.
