The emo-est singer/songwriter of them all (although he doesn't fall into the nu skool abomination of that word), Elliott Smith, is finally ready to share some more of his brilliant work with the rest of us peons. The displaced Oregonian has given up on his plan to release From A Basement On A Hill, the album he recorded in his home, instead moving on to rock a reported double album, expected out this summer on Dreamworks, according to Pitchfork.com. The master of disaster is also playing four gigs in the next two weeks, two each in NYC and LA. If you're lucky enough to be in out of those two areas, you'd probably want to look into tickets.
Those Elliott Smith mini-tour dates:
01.24.03 - New York, NY (Bowery Ballroom)
01.25.03 - New York, NY (Bowery Ballroom)
01.31.03 - Los Angeles, CA (Henry Fonda Theatre)
02.01.03 - Los Angeles, CA (Henry Fonda Theatre)
