Phil Spector In Custody In LA On Suspicion Of Murder

If Phil Spector thought it was bad last week, when The Beatles announced they would re-release their last studio album, Let It Be, without his trademark production and when Beatles engineer Glyn Johns made some pointed personal attacks, little did he know what this week had in store for him. CNN is reporting that Spector has been taken into custody on suspicion of murder after police responded to a call in Alhambra, CA, and found a woman shot dead and Spector on site. Spector was of course best known for his "Wall of Sound" production techinques in the '60s, but had recently been working with Starsailor on their sophomore release for Capitol. We will surely bring you more on this breaking story as it is made available.
