A Perfect Circle Play Understudy For Queens Of The Stone Age

A Perfect Circle have been tapped to replace Queens Of The Stone Age on a few Lollapalooza dates, while the band travels over seas for a handful of European dates. APC will join Jane's Addiction, Audioslave, Incubus, Jurassic 5, and The Donnas lead the rest of the mainstage for Lollapalooza from August 15 (Phoenix) to August 23 (Seattle). Here is where it gets tricky. Troy Van Leeuwen plays guitar in APC and has also been touring with QOTSA, so there is no word where Van Leeuwen will be during these dates. Paz Lenchantin, who once played bass in APC and now a member of Zwan, has been replaced by former Marilyn Manson founding member Twiggy Ramirez. These musicians play musical chairs more than the Las Vegas Real World cast (because that cast sleeps with everyone, that is what I was going for there, Bueller?). A Perfect Circle are currently working on their sophomore album for Virgin, which should see the light of day later this year.

A Perfect Circle's Lollapalooza dates:

08.15.03 - Phoenix, AZ (Cricket Pavilion)

08.16.03 - Devore, CA (Glen Helen Blockbuster Pavilion)

08.17.03 - San Diego, CA (Coors Amphitheatre)

08.19.03 - Mountain View, CA (Shoreline Amphitheatre)

08.21.03 - Salt Lake City, UT (USANA Amphitheatre)

08.23.03 - Seattle, WA (White River Amphitheatre)
