Ash Announce First US Headlining Dates In Five Years

Northern Irish punk-pop kids Ash, who have toured virtually incessantly in the US since the domestic release of their brilliant Free All Angels album last June, are lining it up again. However this time, they'll be in the headline position for the first time in the US in five years. The quartet will kick off the festivities on May 15 in Boston and will wind their way around the bigger US cities until June 13, when they reach America's most populous city. The band is set to enter the studio in late August to record their follow-up album and rumor has it Nigel Godrich is very interested in the project. Also, the band will release a limited edition CD during their US jaunt. It is believed to contain an hour-long BBC documentary that aired in the UK in February, as well as acoustic tracks recorded over the past year in the US. Kinetic will release the CD and the band will have it for sale at their gigs, so make sure to get your hands on this stellar material.
