Jane's Addiction Plan Album Release To Coincide With Lollapalooza

Alt-rock pioneers Jane's Addiction have announced details of their first studio album in 13 years. According to NME, the band will release their new album, entitled Hypersonic, in July, making it the band's first new full-length since 1990's Ritual De Lo Habitual. Bob Ezrin, who produced such legendary acts as Pink Floyd and Aerosmith, was brought on to man the helm for the Hypersonic sessions with the newly re-formed band. The release of the new album will coincide with Jane's Addiction's 28-date Lollapalooza trek, which kicks off July 3 in Grand Rapids, MI. The band is also said to be finalizing an agreement with a major label to secure the distribution of Hypersonic. We'll keep you posted as more details are revealed.
