Minor Threat Demos Surface, DVD On The Way

Dischord Records announced that they will release the first demo ever recorded by Minor Threat on CD and 7". Captured in a basement only four months after the now infamous punk band formed in D.C., the dusted off treasure will feature "Minor Threat," "Stand Up," "Seeing Red," "Bottled Violence," "Small Man, Big Mouth," "Guilty of Being White," "I Don't Want to Hear It," and "Straight Edge" (which went on to become a positive drug and sex-free mantra and lifestyle movement). A Minor Threat DVD is also in the works, and Ian MacKaye (Minor Threat, Embrace, Fugazi) will give a spoken-word performance and answer questions at this weekend's Coachella Festival in California. Fugazi are currently on an indefinite hiatus. Thank you MTV.com, of all places, for shining the light on this information.
