Evan Dando Returns From His Slumber, Tries Not To Be Bored

The golden boy of indie pop has returned! After a seven-year layoff and some serious demon wrestling, Evan Dando is back on the scene and hopes to rekindle the spark that made him one of the most-loved songwriters of the '90s. The ex-Lemonhead and on-again/off-again Virgins member (with James Iha, Melissa Auf Der Mar and Ryan Adams, amongst others) is touring in support of his brand new solo work, Baby, I'm Bored, which dropped this week on Bar None Records. Dando will play a warm up gig in New York tonight, before heading off for a month in Europe. He'll then return on June 10 for a gig in Providence and will tour around the US for a couple more weeks, bringing it all to a halt in Los Angeles on June 28. Rumor has it that the Virgins project may be ramping up again in the near future so good news all around for someone who seems like he could use it.
