Jane's Addiction Ink With Capitol

As previously reported, Jane's Addiction have recorded their first album of new material in 13 years and were hoping to ink a label deal to secure its release in time for the band's summer stint on Lollapalooza. Well, it seems that the veteran rockers wasted no time in doing just that. Details of the deal have not been released, but the band has signed with Capitol and will release their new album, Hypersonic, on June 24. Jane's Addiction mouth piece Perry Ferrell is so excited about the new record that he's open to dropping to two singles at once. Launch.com quotes Ferrell as saying, "It might be creative to put out two singles at once. It's something that is not done too often, but so what? I think it might be, in this case, an interesting ambition shall we say to put out two singles - being that summer's coming and no one has heard the music. And I'm sure people are excited and raring to hear this music." Lollapalooza kicks off July 3 in Grand Rapids, MI.
