Limp Bizkit mouthpiece Fred Durst is buckling down on the recording of his band's new album, now titled Panty Sniffer, but it seems that he's got some extra time on his hands to record songs with a new side project, Pacifica. Pacifica is described by Durst as "very '80sÖ like Duran Duran or Soft Cell." Apparently, Durst realized that the cool kids are now playing throwback New Wave music, so he's quickly adopted it and has been spotted purchasing skinny ties, trim suits and those terraced hats Devo wore in their "Whip It" video. Pacifica is still in the very early stages and has yet to be added to Interscope's release schedule, perhaps because Durst is running a bit behind on a previous commitment to his label.
The forthcoming Limp Bizkit album, Panty Sniffer (aka. Less Is More, Bipolar, etc.), was pushed back from May to September to allow the band to record songs with their newly appointed guitarist Mike Smith. As a result, Limp Bizkit has also had to push back a series of overseas dates, including spots on the UK's Download Festival and Holland's Fields Of Rock.
