Linkin Park Frontman Sidelined With Mysterious Illness

Chester Bennington, Linkin Park's singer, has been admitted to a Los Angeles hospital after suffering from "severe back and abdominal pains," according to a posting on the band's official website. Bennington will remain in the hospital until doctors can determine the cause of the problem, which they have yet to be able to do. As a result, the band has been forced to cancel their upcoming European tour, scheduled to take place from June 7 to June 23. NME reports that the band's stint on the Summer Sanitarium tour is in doubt, but until Bennington's ailments are diagnosed, we won't know for sure.

A band spokesperson said, "All touring and video shoot plans in Europe have been put on hold this month as we make sure Chester fully recovers... We wish him the best, and will keep everyone posted as to his condition."
