William Orbit Encircles Beth Orton, Damon Albarn On New Album

Superstar William Orbit has more than 50 tracks in the can for his next solo album. He's currently sifting through the exorbitant amount of material to have the as-yet-untitled album ready in time for a September release. The new album will be Orbit's first solo offering since 2000's collection of electronic remakes of classical pieces from Beethoven, Handel, and Barber, called Pieces In A Modern Style. Rolling Stone reports that the forthcoming release could possibly feature collaborations with Finley Quaye, Beth Orton and Blur's Damon Albarn. A track pulled from a recently wrapped session with Kentucky's Nappy Roots is also expected to make the cut.
