Iggy Rounds Up Green Day, Sum 41, Stooges On Skull Ring

The fall will bring the new album from punk rock father figure Iggy Pop. The former Stooges kingpin, who reformed his seminal band for a gig at Coachella, as well as three pending shows in August, also recorded four songs for his upcoming album, Skull Ring, with his ex-Stooges mates. His regular band appears on six tracks, but also featuring on his new work, the first since Beat ëEm Up in 2001, are celebs aplenty. Two songs were written and recorded with Green Day and one each with Candian punk-poppers Sum 41 and Canadian pervert Peaches. Expect to see Skull Ring, which Iggy produced himself, on shelves September 30, courtesy of Virgin Records.
