Sanctuary Records will release the eighth album from the brothers Dean and Gene Ween (not actually brothers, or named Ween) on August 5 entitled Quebec. This is Weenís first collection of new tunes since the marvelous White Pepper, which was released on the old Elektra label in 2000. Ween recently recorded the theme song for Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, and have collaborated with InQuest Technologies to develop and launch a new software application called "WeenAmp". Quebec was recorded in producer Andrew Weissís living room and contains 16 brand spanking new songs just in time for the holidays. Ween will perform a small number of dates later this month and in early August, which are just a prelude to a full blown U.S. tour, which will go down later this year. The first date on the eleven-date trek is Pittsburgh on July 25.
