Fire Theft Rises From Ashes Of Sunny Day, Shines Once Again

Some bands never die, they just keep morphing and returning under different guises, with differing results. However, since the band reappearing this time is the remnants of Sunny Day Real Estate, weíll welcome them back with open arms. The three remaining Real Estaters, frontman Jeremy Enigk and the ex-Foo Fighters rhythm section of bassist Nate Mendel, who is still in Dave Grohlís gang, and drummer Will Goldsmith, reinvented themselves as The Fire Theft and have been inked to Rykodisc. To that end, they are also hitting the road to show all their Sunny Day fans and any new fans along the way what they are all about. The tour will kick off September 26 in Vancouver and last until a Boston gig on October 18 and the bandís debut album is scheduled to hit shelves on September 23.
