Jack Grisham, singer for the punkers T.S.O.L., announced that he is running for governor of California...and he isn't joking. The driving force of the group who are best known for songs ripping the U.S. Government to shreds (îAbolish Governmentî) will run in the October 7 recall election in hopes of unseating democrat Gray Davis. "For years I was always, 'F--- the government. F--- the government. F--- the government.' I was always bitching and not doing a thing about it," he explained to MTV. "And the other day I said, 'Now I am.' Seriously, how cool would it be if this old school rocker won (I mean Jesse ìThe Bodyî Ventura won his election, and he was in Predator). T.S.O.L. (True Sounds Of Liberty) were formed in Huntington Beach, California, in 1978 and will release a new album titled Divided We Stand on September 9 via Nitro Records. Is this the start of a new revolution, or an extremely genius marketing ploy? Who cares, vote Grisham!
