Tim Delaughter and the other 9,432 members of The Polyphonic Spree have a slight crisis on their hands. The band has four New York City shows lined up in August, including an appearance on Late Night With Conan O'Brien, but their regular french horn player will not be able to make it to any of them. As a result, the band is scouring the globe for a french horn player to fill in, and the invitation is open to just about anyone. "The [back-up] candidate must be able to improvise, be a bad ass at his/her instrument, have a good demeanor and [be] willing to don a robe," reads a release from a band spokesperson. So if any of you can play the french horn, and you're not afraid to wear a robe, shoot an email to Chris Penn at Good Records with your personal contact info.
