Cure Box Set, Reissues, & New Album All In Works

Robert Smith of The Cure has lately been a busy beaver. The seemingly tireless Gothic power merchant has been working simultaneously on a number of Cure projects that are coming to a head soon. First off, according to Sydneyís Daily Telegraph, heís currently promoting his bandís recent DVD, Trilogy. The DVD spans a series of live shows recorded in Berlin, when the band played an album in its entirety on three successive nights, with Pornography, Disintegration and Bloodflowers being the albums in question. Smith is also working on culling together material for a massive five or six CD box set, due out this fall. Rare live recordings and B-sides will make up the box set, with Smith poring over 2000+ tapes. Some songs will also go towards another project, a reissue of all of the bandsí records. The reissues will start in February 2004 and each remastered album will be paired with a rarity/B-side bonus disc from the same era. And if all this wasnít enough, the boys go into the studio with Ross Robinson next month. No rest for the wicked, as they say.
