Primus Reform, Tour, DVD Retrospective & New Songs On Tap

Itís been over four years since we last heard from Primus but the boys from the Bay are reforming. 1999ís Antipop was the bandís last proper release, with frontman Les Claypool having left to do many solo projects, including Frog Brigade. now, the original Primus threesome of Claypool, Tim ìHerbî Alexander and Larry LeLonde have gotten back together and recorded five new songs for inclusion on an upcoming DVD/CD collection, Animals Should Not Try To Act Like People. The compilation on Interscope, which hits streets October 7, will include 12 videos, including all your favorites, as well as making the video type montages, live footage, the five new songs and behind the scenes mayhem. After this, the band will head out on a mini tour, playing two sets each night, the first differing from evening to evening and the second being a entire work through of their seminal funky rock extravaganza Sailing The Seas Of Cheese. the whole tour hasnít been announced but October dates in San Francisco, Denver and LA are already on the docket. Stay tuned for further updates.
