Tonight (August 12) at 6:00 p.m. ET, Radiohead will head over to the FNX studios in Lynn, MA to host an hour-long, freeform radio show that's being called "Hostile Takeover." "[Radiohead] will play what they want and say what they want," said FNX Music Director Kevin Mays. The network will even re-broadcast Radiohead's "Hostile Takeover" on Sunday, August 17, at 7:00 p.m. Other acts have pulled an "Airheads" at the FNX studios as well, including Tori Amos, Supergrass, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, but come on people - RADIOHEAD!
According to a spokesperson for the network, The FNX Radio Network is a consortium of alternative radio stations owned by Phoenix Media/Communications Group, a privately held company. The stations include 101.7FNX/Boston, MA, 103.7FNX/Providence, RI, 92.1FNX Portland, ME, and 92.1FNX Portsmouth, NH.
