New Strokes Album Set For Release In October

Details are finally coming in on the long-awaited follow-up to the Strokes' 2001 debut album, Is This It. The band recently told Billboard that the as-yet-untitled CD will hit the streets on October 21 through RCA. Eleven tracks will be included in the release, many of which the band has played live on recent tour outings. Before the album's release, the Strokes will play a series of US club dates, followed closely by a month-long residency on Late Night With Conan O'Brien. The specific dates have yet to be announced, but the band will play every Tuesday night for a month near the release of their album. After that, the Strokes will embark on an extensive tour of North America and Europe.

Pitchfork.com got a hold of the forthcoming album's 11 tracks. They're not in order, as the sequence has yet to be set, but here you go:

"The End Has No End"

"I Can't Win"

"Meet Me In The Bathroom"

"Never Needed Anybody"

"Nightmare"

"Raga"

"Supernova"

"Under Control"

"The Way It Is"

"You Talk Way Too Much"

"Ze Newie"
