Belle and Sebastian will release Dear Catastrophe Waitress on October 7 on their new label, Rough Trade. The Scottishís bandís fifth album (excluding the score/soundtrack for Storytelling) was produced by Trevor Horn, formerly of the one-hit-wonder band The Buggles. The gang of seven will perform once in Brooklyn and at three different California venues in September alongside the likes of Bright Eyes, Ben Kweller, and on Nic Harcourt's (KCRW) Morning Becomes Eclectic showgram! Matador will release the bandís collection of videos and live footage later this year on a DVD (and VHS for those who like to keep it real...or reel) called Fans Only.
