Scott Weiland, the man with, seemingly, nine lives, has been spared again. The Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver frontman has evaded jail time for his felony possession charges and will instead face three years probation, mandatory AA meetings, random drug testing and counseling sessions that will be overseen by the court. Actually, thatís the best thing that could happen to him. This set of circumstances will help him to sort out his addictions far better than any stint in the pokey will. Heís currently spending nights at a drug rehab center. Atta boy. Best of luck to you, Scott.
In other Velvet Revolver news, the band has decided against releasing an EP and instead will put their collective efforts into their debut long player. RCA is leading the pack on the way to sign them, according to Billboard, and the band is sifting through over 60 songs in picking the right set for their initial offering, due out in February of next year.
